Videos May Help Online Retailers In Several Ways
Posted by Doug Caverly
Perhaps the only way in which shopping online still can’t match the real-world alternative relates to how customers can’t properly inspect products. But by at least giving them a better view - think videos - businesses can reap all sorts of rewards.
Jeffrey Grau, a senior analyst at eMarketer, noted in a recent article, “Among the benefits of videos touted by Web retailers are a lower number of abandoned shopping carts, reduced return rates and higher sales.”
Advancing in even one of these areas would probably be worth the hassle and cost of dealing with clips. Having all of them on the table makes video extremely tempting. Businesses can always manage risks by testing clips a couple at a time, of course.
Then there’s the simple fact that, by not embracing video, businesses might miss an important trend. The eMarketer piece states, “According to comScore, the number of online shoppers who watched retail videos grew 40% in a single year,” and being the last company to latch on isn’t any sort of thing to aim for.
Businesses specializing in eCommerce should take a shot at using product videos, then, and see what happens. If eMarketer’s findings are remotely typical, it looks like they’ll generate some extremely good results.

Hey this was potentially one of the most intelligent blurbs I have read on the topic so far. I don’t understand where you gather up all of your info but I am impressed! I’m going to send some folks over here to check this out. Awesome, just plain amazing. I’m just getting into writing articles myself, nothing compared to your writing potential (lol) but I would love for you to look over my articles someday! here
